Seok-hwan Choi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software at Yonsei University, where he has led the Artificial Intelligence and Security Lab (AISLAB) since September 2022. He received his Ph.D. in Information Convergence Engineering in 2022 and his B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2016, both from Pusan National University. His research focuses on building secure and trustworthy AI systems by analyzing attack surfaces that emerge across data, training, model, and deployment environments and by translating these insights into practical defense technologies.
His research spans adversarial examples, backdoor attacks, model privacy threats, deepfake detection, malware analysis, network intrusion detection, and software supply chain security. By studying both security for AI and AI for security, he aims to develop deployable AI security technologies grounded in realistic threat models and system-level validation.
